The home and rehearsal space of The County Sligo Youth Theatre (CSYT) is located on Lower Quay Street, Sligo in the building adjacent to the Factory Performance Space, known as ‘The Fridge’.

This 11 years old organisation aims to engage with young people as active participants by using theatre approaches, to develop their technical and artistic skills and to facilitate their social and personal development.

It provides a yearly programme of theatre workshops to more than 70 people aged from 10 to 20 years old. It produces at least one annual theatre show and it develops youth theatre throughout County Sligo as well.

In 2009 CSYT has produced “The Burial at Thebes” in the Factory Performance Space and “Yes We Know” for Cairde Festival 2009.
