Each year, the beautiful village of Ballintogher plays host to the John Egan Traditional Music Festival and also a feis.

Each year, the beautiful village of Ballintogher plays host to the John Egan Traditional Music Festival and also a feis.

The feis is held towards the end of October and the music festival at the beginning of November.

The feis is held to give young musicians, singers, dancers and aspiring artists, the chance to compete for tophies and medals.

The festival is the time to enjoy the music and song from the best of traditional artists.

Thursday 29th October

Friday 30th October

8:00 PM  -  in Blue Devon, Dromahair

  • Official Opening
    by Seamus McCormack, Uachtarán C.C.E. followed by:
  • Traditional Concert  featuring
    Sean O'Sé - Singer, Storyteller, Martin Donohue and Seamus Fay, Workshop Tutors, C.C.E. Musicians, Singers and Dancers.

  • 10:00am    Aifreann na Féile St Therese's Church  Ballintogher 
  • 10:45 am   Commemoration at John Egan Memorial -followed by Lecture - "WB Yeats and local area" in Morans Ballintogher with Joyce and Martin Enright 
  • 5 - 7pm  Junior Music Session - in Enterprise Centre Ballintogher
  • 9.30 pm Farewell Session  - Donegan's Lounge, Ballintogher
