Artist Panel for Sligo University Hospital

Saolta Arts log and Sligo University Hospital

Saolta Arts and Sligo University Hospital is currently seeking expressions of interest from multi-disciplinary artists in County Sligo to join an artist panel (visual arts, film, music, literature). The panel will be in place from November 2021 until December 2023.

This panel will be called on as opportunities arise in the delivery of the following:

  • an arts participation programme for acute patients in Sligo University Hospital;
  • workshops for staff health and wellbeing;
  • small environmental enhancement projects including enhancement of the paediatric area in the Emergency Department;
  • Visual art exhibitions.

A short-listing process will apply. Artistic excellence and an appropriate fit between art practice and the health care environment are the main short-listing criteria.

Artists are asked to submit via email a statement outlining your interest and area of expertise, a one-page CV and up to eight high-quality jpeg images of previous relevant work if relevant. The maximum size of the email cannot be more than 10mb. All images must be clearly captioned with title, medium, date, dimensions, context and further details if relevant. E-mail submissions to saoltaarts@hse.ie  or call 087 1250461 for further information.

The deadline for applications is 15 October 2021.
