Invitation to the Launch of PATHWAY

Sligo County Council Arts Office & Nazareth Housing Association

would like to invite you to Nazareth Village for the launch of

PATHWAY

a collaborative art commission between artists Catherine Fanning, Brigitta Varadi and residents of Nazareth Village.

Twelve sculptural ceramic artworks have been designed and made for the grounds of Nazareth Village.  The design and the concept for the work is the cycle of life, directly inspired by the garden and the changing of the seasons. The sculptural works are a moment in time captured through motif, colour and pattern.

The designs and imagery for each sculptural piece were developed during creative sessions with the Village residents. Conversations led to imagery that the group saw as representing different stages of nature, seasons, growth and community.

Opening Reception:   Wednesday, 19th July 2017, 2-3pm
Opening Speech:   Cathaoirleach, Cllr. Seamus Kilgannon
Venue:   Nazareth Village, Church Hill, Sligo

The commission is funded by the Per Cent for Art Scheme, managed and administered by Sligo County Council Arts Office in partnership with Nazareth Housing Association, 2017.
