Yeats Day 2014 Mail Art Project - Open Call For Submissions

William Butler Yeats was one of the most important poets of the 20th century. His work is known and lauded in many countries. He had a special affection for County Sligo, Republic of Ireland and his Nobel Prize medal is on show in the Sligo County Museum. 

We are inviting artists and admirers of Yeats work around the world to send a self designed postcard artwork to help celebrate Yeats Day. Along with poetry recitals, music, and FREE BIRTHDAY CAKE in the centre of Sligo, submissions will be exhibited as part of the Yeats Day 2014 celebrations in Sligo.


Design a postcard/card/ with the theme HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISTER YEATS.

Use any media, drawing, painting, print, collage, photography, textile, calligraphy, digital etc.

Submitted work will not be sold or returned.

The closing date for receipt of submissions is 30 May 2014.

This is a non juried show.
