Tubbercurry Western Drama Festival celebrating 70 Years since first Curtain up!
Don’t miss this special event, the “Western Drama One Act Festival” will be held in St Brigid’s Hall from Thursday Nov 21st to Sat Nov 23rd.
The Western Drama Festival are delighted that as they celebrate 70 years since their first Festival that local man Brendan Mc Gowan, recently appointed Chairman of the Amateur Drama Council of Ireland will open the Festival.
We welcome the very prestigious Tony Rushforth GoDA as our Adjudicator for the festival who has adjudicated the All Ireland Finals in Ireland and the UK.
Tony meets the participating groups for their private adjudication in Killorans, Teeling Street each night after the shows.
Come out and brighten up your winter by joining us at this 1 Act festival, escape into the world of drama; over the three nights you will have the opportunity to enjoy nine plays by exceptional playwrights of the caliber of Tenessee Williams, and Ionesco, experience comedy, intrigue and sultry drama.
