Free Film Course for social welfare recipients, starting in September

Sligo Northside Community Centre presents a 10 week film course, for people who are in receipt of a social welfare payment, in partnership with Loch Bo Films, MSLETB & Sligo Leader Partnership Co.

Film and Video Production, QQI Level 5 Component. This introductory course is ideal for those wishing to learn more about film, TV and video production, for those planning to work in the digital media industry, for people who use digital media occasionally in their work, or those wishing to progress to further training/education in this field

Learn about the different crew roles and wide range of skills needed on a production. See how your skills can be adapted for a career in video production. Discover new talents. Create a short film. Course Length - 10 weeks, starting 13th September 2016 - 17th November 2016 2 mornings per week (Tues & Thurs 10am-1pm) in Sligo Northside Centre, Forthill, Sligo. QQI Level 5 component is 120 hours, (with 60 hours taught). Assignments, written & practical to be completed outside of class hours. This is a free course with places prioritised for long-term unemployed. If oversubscribed, there may be an interview process and a waiting list formed for future courses.
