Open Call for Inclusion in Culture Night Sligo 2017 Programme
Culture Night is an annual all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. This year, it will take place on Friday 22nd September 2017. On Culture Night venues of all shapes and sizes, host cultural events late into the night. Special and unique events and workshops are specifically programmed at participating locations and everything is available FREE of charge.
Culture Night Sligo has become a widely anticipated event as the public enjoy visiting the many events and venues across Sligo. If you are planning an event for Culture Night 2017 please note that the deadline for inclusion in the Culture Night Sligo 2017 print programme is August 4th 2017.
Culture Night happens because many people share a vision and enthusiasm for enjoying, celebrating and promoting creativity and culture. The following list gives a taste of the wide range of people and institutions that make it happen across Ireland: the public, artists, performing groups, galleries, museums, sports clubs, libraries, arts centres, craft workers, studios and workshops, theatres, public spaces, masonic halls, broadcasters, schools, community groups, local authorities, Government Departments, state agencies and public bodies, transport companies, universities, shops and many more!
If you would like your Culture Night Sligo event to be included in the print programme please send: the title of your event, location, time, event summary, event organiser’s contact and a publicity image via e-mail to sandyporter@themodel.ie by the print deadline of August 4th 2017.
Culture Night Sligo is co-ordinated by The Model on behalf of Culture Night Sligo partner venues The Hawk’s Well, The Model, Blue Raincoat Theatre Company and Sligo Youth Theatre and is brought to you by the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs in partnership with Sligo County Council.
