The Rambling House at Ballymote Library

8pm Thursday the 31st of March, the Rambling House at Ballymote Community Library!

For the month that’s in it, will be having an open music Session – all musicians welcome to fill the library with music of the traditional, original and everywhere in-between kind!

We hope to have a diverse range of music and invite amateur to professional alike to the warm and welcoming space of the Rambling House at the Ballymote Community Library. Foot tappers and clappers needed too! This is a lovely opportunity for everyone in the community to share if they are musical or offer a friendly ear to those who would like to sing or play for us all, especially those who would like to play in public but might feel like they aren’t quite ready – this is a perfect forum to try out a new song etc.

Tea, coffee and time to connect afterwards, we look forward to seeing you there.

On the last Thursday of the month, the library throws it’s doors open at 7.30pm for an evening of entertainment from the community! In the Rambling House, which is an old Irish tradition, people who visit are encouraged to tell stories, play music or share whatever gift they have.  We are encouraging the community to get involved,  participating by offering to speak, read, or perform. Amateurs and professionals alike are welcome. Just as importantly we welcome everyone to come along and give the gift of your presence and support – we are sure there are some gems waiting to be discovered!
