Photo Journalist and Qualified Teacher of Photography Peter Wilcock and Leo Regan, Arts Education Organiser at County Sligo have jointly launched a new website for Photographers in the Sligo/Leitrim area. It is called www.weseeit.net, with Peter Wilcock as the Moderator of the site. The sole objective of weseeit.net is to showcase outstanding images of Sligo and Leitrim taken by photographers who wish to share with the world their vision of this historical and spectacular location. It is not a requirement that the photographer is resident in either county. A fresh slant on familiar scenes might be taken by photographers passing through. It is non profit making and is purely a chance for local photographers to showcase their work, and the hope is to build an archive of local images and possibly the publication of a coffee table book at some later stage. The material is not limited to views; the site has a good selection of those in place, but portraits, still life, abstract, fine art, whatever you, the viewer would like to see.
